In 2011, Jordan Brand decided to release a "Banned" edition of the Air Jordan 1. In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was famously "banned" by David Stern and the NBA, with MJ electing to wear the shoes anyway. Often credited with being the reason why the Air Jordan line "took off" (see what we did there?), the Air Jordan 1 in it's original Black / Red colorway remains one of the most coveted sneakers on the planet. This Banned edition features a rich leather upper with 2 extra sets of laces, OG box, and the all important "Nike Air" on the tongue. Released in very limited quantity, this release has become a grail for many collectors.
